Greenock were beaten 3 - 1 by St.Andrews Utd at Hampden in the 1960 Scottish Junior Cup Final. Reaching the cup final in just their fourth season of existance was quite a feat.

The Greenock team that day were : McGinlay, Reilly, Hogg, Stewart, Buchanan, Brabender, Gibson, McCartney, McKellar, Samuel, Winter.
