Action from the disappointing draw with Carluke.
Greenock squandered another 2 points in the race for promotion with this disappointing draw at home against Carluke. A fine reflex saved denied Greenock the early lead as Robertson's pile drive looked goalbound until ? somehow managed to punch to safety. Some poor defending allowed Carluke to take the lead in the 10th minute as ? headed past Monk from 8 yards as he met ? corner. Carluke should have doubled their lead as ? perfect defence splitting pass sent ? clear but his first time shot sailed past Monk's left hand post. ? then saves well from Monaghan. Greenock's Docherty has the last chance of the half but he skies his effort over the bar from 10 yards.
Half Time 0 - 1
Greenock get the equiliser on 48 mins from a well worked corner kick as Gordon Lappin's front post header fires past ? for 1-1. The returning Power worked tirelessly in the middle of the park and his return could be the boost Greenock need. Alan Barnes should have put his team mates 2-1 up on the hour mark but he blasted over from 6 yards after a great ball in the box by Monaghan.Monk then pulled of a fine one handed save from a free-kick. Black & McIntyre entered the fray but neither could conjure up that decisive winner.
