Had the Juniors levelled while on top there may have been a different story but Morton’s slicker passing game brought Williams back into the action again with two soul-destroying goals in three minutes immediately before half-time. With sublime timing he killed the ball, then sidestepped two markers before picking his spot in the back of the net. His hat-trick was completed with a close range effort that gave the ’keeper no chance. Black again squandered a chance to pull his team mates back into it but his week tap in was easily cleared off the line by Keenan after being set up by Bowie.
