Greenock made hard work for their share af the spoil's at Holm Park with two late goals to sit joint top of the group with Yoker.
With the game evenly poised the referee waved away a stonewall penalty as Monaghan was sent crashing to the ground by Yoker's Ferguson, the referee admitted he was wrong after the game to the dismay of the Greenock fans. The first real chance of the match fell to Yoker's Sharkey, his fierce drive was palmed round the post by Greenock's recent signing Scott Threlfall. Black sent in two teasing crosses and on both occasions there was no Greenock striker's on hand to convert.
The first goal arrived on the 35th minute, as Barnes seemed to be elbowed the referee waved play on and as Power hesitated Sharkey stole in, his effort was pushed onto the bar and from the rebound Ryan Frew was left with the easiest of headers to send his team mates in 1 up at half time.

The second half was just as frustrating as the first as Greenock were let down in the final 3rd. Black had the perfect opportunity to equalise but somehow mananged to blast over fom all of 6 yards after a well worked free-kick by Lappin. Little much was thrown at the back three of McMillan, McAllister and Barnes but anytime there was danger they done well to clear. It was all one way traffic with Greenock winning the battle in midfield and it was only a matter of time before the goal came. Greenock were dealt a huge blow in 75 minutes as Sharkey's weak effort somehow managed to scramble it's way in at the near post.
This mistake by the debutisng keeper spoilt an otherwise fair display. With the points looking set to stay at Holm Park up popped Andy Monaghan to pick his spot past Graham from 6 yards after the ball found it's way throw a ruck of player's from Jack's corner. With time running out and from another corner Power found space on the left hand side he let fly and Graham Black was on hand to head home for a share of the points.
